Jade’s Jollibee Birthday Party

Jade's Jollibee Birthday Party

Last week, me and my whole family flew back to Manila for a whole week for a vacation with my our relatives back home and to celebrate the first birthday of our youngest daughter Jade.   And where else do celebrate it?  None other than the happiest place for kids in the Philippines, Jollibee.

Well, I guess it has become sort of a tradition to many Filipinos to celebrate their kids’ parties in Jollibee.   Jollibee is well loved by Filipino kids and adults alike mostly due to the food they serve that is very close to the Filipino taste, plus their mascots.   Jollibee is the most famous fastfood brand in the Philippines beating McDonald’s.

Jade was born on 8th of July but we have booked her party on a 14th in the Shangri-la Mall branch in Mandaluyong City.  We have invited relatives and some close friends to join us.   Well, the party is more for the kids and so we booked and made sure that Jollibee’s 5 mascots will be there to join us.

But before the mascots came out, the Jollibee staff hosted some games for the kids and adults alike.  This made sure everyone is entertained before our food is served.

On the last quarter of the party, the mascots have arrived.   First came Hetty, which represents Jollibee’s famous Jolly Spaghetti.  She is dressed in a cheerleader costume.   Next came Yum which represents Jollibee’s burgers.  Yum is the young technology savvy mascot.  Then there was Twirlie that represents Jollibee’s sundaes.  She was the fashionista.   Next is Popo that represents Jollibee’s French fries is the sporty mascot.  And last but not the least is the most famous mascot in the Philippines, Jollibee.

Originally there were 9 mascots but when Jollibee made their mascots more youthful and modernized, they dropped the other 4, namely, Champ the burger, Mico the milkshake, Chickee the ChickenJoy, and Lady Moo the cow.

Well when Jollibee and his friends came in, the kids and adults alike went gaga over having their photos taken with the mascots.  It was definitely a fun time for everyone.   They also performed a dance number before they join us in blowing Jade’s birthday cake.

It was a fun day and Jade loved her special guests.

  1. Yeah between Mcdo and Jollibee, most Filipinos tend to choose the latter. I guess it’s because of Jollibee’s irresistible appeal to kids. Perfect marketing strat. 🙂
